Many breeders and fanciers have contributed to this project, but there are some that must be acknowledged. The initial database was constructed several years ago. At that time, Joan Grant of Jayenn Kennel and Til Niquidet of Pikkinokka Kennel spent much time contributing many of the pedigrees for Canadian bred Finnish Spitz. Melissa Carr of Aestiva Finnish Spitz also supplied Canadian pedigrees in addition to US pedigrees. Maja Croon of Storm Valley played a large part in supplying pedigrees for dogs in Europe, and Paul Mason made sure the Finnish Spitz from "Down Under" were represented in the database. The work of these and others gave us an excellent base for revival of this project.

As noted elsewhere, this project was dormant for a couple of years due to a variety of reasons. Those mentioned above are also helping in its resurrection with significant hours devoted by others. Christine Roesler of Punavikista Finnish Spitz spent a large chunk of time several years ago inputting original stud records from the Finnish Spitz Club of America as well as other pedigrees and is donating her database to this project. Roxy at Roxy's Renditions created the attractive background, and I'm the designated webmaster for yet another website in addition to mine at Crowns Finnish Spitz. Finally, the Finnish version of the site is the result of the excellent translation by Inkeri Kangasvu at Saman's Kennel. Without the contributions of these and others, this project would not be possible. Those of us who love this breed give you our heartfelt thanks for your past and ongoing efforts.
